It's Time To Party! - Portable Ipod Speakers

Portable Ipod Speakers

If you have got yourself an iPod but not the speakers, you need to pick up a pair without any delay, because with speakers, you can share the music with your friends and enhance the general enjoyment. You may have a wonderful song that you want to share, but it is a real pain to keep on passing the headphones. This is why iPod has created the speakers.

Now, with the iPod and iPod speakers, you can have a party anytime and anywhere. They are tiny, yet you can have a booming bass and they can really shake up a place.

iPod speakers are either home models or portable; the portable ones are easy to carry around and are battery operated. The home models are heavier and bigger and they have to be plugged into an electrical outlet.

The portable models are small, just slightly bigger than the iPod Nano, and some of them weigh not more than half an ounce. Their sound quality is better than most computer speakers but not on par with the standalone or home only iPod speakers, which get their power from an electrical outlet, so that they get more energy than a low voltage battery.

Let us look at some of the best in iPod speakers; the iBoom iPod speakers are new, and have an amorphous kind of shape. There is a slot in front which is a hub for iPod or iPod mini. The four speakers require 20 watts per channel to produce sound. They can run on AC power or with six "D" batteries. The iBoom iPod looks good design wise, too. Their plus points are the low wattage requirement which still produces good sound; they are portable, and can charge the iPod when plugged on to AC power.

Then there is the inMotion iM3 iPod speakers created by Altec Lansing. The speakers come in Apple white or in black, weighs 15 to 16 ounces and only a bit larger than the iPod in size. They are high quality speakers with wide sound ranges. They can last upto twenty four hours on four AA batteries, and they can be carried and played anywhere for an all night party.

When iPod was first released in 2001, you could listen to the music only through headphones as there were no iPod speakers from Apple. So third party manufacturers created iPod speakers to meet the demand for music playing without headphones. So in 2006, Apple brought out its own speakers, the iPod Hi-Fi, which is priced at $349 and aimed at the high end market. The Hi-Fi iPod speakers have a large soundstage and wide frequency range; though they are portable, they are sufficient for an apartment or a small house and can replace the conventional bulky speakers. With these speakers, you can throw a party anytime.
