Ipod Phone - A Revolution Amongst Mobile Phones.
The iPod phone is a marvel. On 9th January at Apple's annual showcase of its products the announcement was made by the company's spokesperson Job, that three products will make the debut - an iPod with a wide screen, a cell phone and 'internet communicator'. After accepting the thunderous applause Job went on to clarify that actually it is a one-in three product! It is the iPod from Apple.
It is a revolution amongst mobile phones. The iPhone apart from the usual phone functions of calling and receiving, sends and receives texts messages, plays music and movies, navigates the web and edits photographs. Many of these can be found in other phone devices but the specialty of iPhone is that its functions are seamless and blends these with a bouquet of innovations in a cocktail.
Simultaneous functions can be done on the iPhone - email while talking. The phone has the ability to integrate many applications by making use of Google maps-applications. For instance, if you want the location of Starbucks in San Francisco it will take a minute for it to show up on the screen.
Apple uses ground breaking technology to make effectual this smooth integration of web, phone, messaging and media. Unlike others in iPhone there is only one 'home' button. The 3.5" coloured screen occupying most of the face of the phone, double into a multiple-touch display. On it is showed different control keys. For example you can type messages on the bottom of the screen that shows up and send it. The multiple-touch technology has an auto-corrective device. Other controls for video, audio, volume and playback all appear on the screen as required. When viewing or surfing on the iPhone just go through a pinching motion with two fingers and the photograph or the website zooms in. Spread two of the fingers apart and the magic image zooms out. For scrolling just brush the finger vertically across the screen. The best part is the visual voice-mail. You will now no longer have to patiently listen to unwanted voice-mails. All that is to be done is to point to the voice-mail of your choice. The iPhone has on its phone three sensors. An accelero-meter senses when the phone is kept sideways. It automatically shifts the display to a landscape mode and is useful for seeing panoramic pictures, videos or for going through your personal album. Another sensor adjusts to the light automatically thus saving power. When you bring the phone close to your face the third sensor de-activates the screen so that the cheek does not go on dialing while you talk! Last but not least like all Apple products iPhone synchronizes with Mac or PC.
